We get this call a lot: a client's product came back "faulty" after the customer opened the casing, swapped a part, or refilled the bottle — and there's no way to prove it. A void sticker fixes exactly that problem. It's a low-cost label that turns an invisible seal into visible proof, and it's one of the cheapest loss-prevention tools a Malaysian SME can add to a product line.
How a void sticker actually works
A genuine tamper-evident sticker isn't just a sticker that says "VOID" printed on top — that can be photocopied or faked. It works through the material itself: the film is engineered to split apart at the adhesive layer when someone tries to peel it, leaving a permanent "VOID" pattern etched onto both the surface it was stuck to and the label backing. Once that pattern shows, there is no way to reapply the sticker cleanly or reprint a matching one — the destruction is physical, not printed. That's the difference between a real security label and a sticker that merely looks like one.
This matters because the whole point of the label is to survive a dispute. If a customer, reseller, or even your own warehouse staff can peel and reapply it without a trace, it isn't doing its job — it's decoration.

Not every product needs one, and we tell clients this upfront rather than upsell a label they don't need. The businesses that get real value from void stickers are the ones where "was this tampered with" is a recurring, costly question:
- Electronics and appliance repair shops — sealing the casing screw or battery compartment so a warranty claim can be checked at a glance before any bench time is spent.
- Cosmetics, skincare and supplement brands — sealing the cap or pump so a returned "unused" bottle can be verified before a refund is processed.

If your dispute volume is low and the item is cheap to replace, a void sticker is probably overkill. If a single false warranty claim or one "arrived tampered" complaint costs you more than a box of labels, it pays for itself the first time it's used as evidence.
Choosing between silver void and polyester options
We print three materials under this category and clients often ask which one they actually need:
- Silver void sticker — the true tamper-evident film. This is the only one of the three that physically breaks apart on removal and leaves the permanent VOID pattern. Use this when the label's job is proof, not just branding.
- Bright silver polyester sticker — a durable, glossy metallic label built for outdoor and oily-surface durability, not tamper evidence. Good for asset tags, serial number plates, or nameplates that need to survive years outdoors but don't need to prove tampering.
- Matt silver polyester sticker — same durability profile as the bright version with a low-glare matt finish, often chosen for compliance labels, rating plates or barcodes that need to stay scannable under warehouse lighting.
A common mistake is ordering a polyester label expecting it to act as a security seal because it's silver and metallic-looking. It won't break apart — it will peel off cleanly, which is the opposite of what a warranty seal needs to do. If tamper evidence is the goal, only the void film qualifies; the polyester options are for durability and legibility instead. Specifying a void sticker job correctly
A few details decide whether the label works the way you expect on delivery day:
- Placement first, size second. Measure the actual seam, screw, or cap you're sealing before choosing a diameter — a label too small won't bridge the gap between the two surfaces it needs to break across.
- Sequential numbering, if you need traceability. We can print running serial numbers on the batch so each unit's seal ties back to a specific order or handover date — useful for logistics and rental handovers where "which seal, which date" matters.
- Custom VOID text or logo. Standard stock says "VOID"; we can print your company name or a custom warning line instead, which also makes counterfeit labels harder to source from a third party.
- Test on your actual surface before a full print run. Void film performance varies slightly by substrate — plastic casing, painted metal, glass — so we always recommend a small sample batch on your real product before committing to volume.
- Store away from direct heat. Like most adhesive films, void stickers apply best at room temperature; very cold or very hot surfaces at application time can affect how cleanly the pattern releases later.
These are labels people only notice once, at the exact moment a dispute happens — so it's worth getting the spec right the first time rather than discovering a gap in a warranty argument six months later.

银色 VOID 贴纸 vs 聚酯贴纸，怎么选

- 银色 VOID 贴纸——真正的防拆封薄膜。三者之中只有它会在撕除时物理断裂、留下永久的 VOID 图案。当标签的作用是「提供证据」而不只是「好看」时，选这一款。
- 亮面银色聚酯贴纸——耐用、有光泽的金属质感标签，专为户外与油面耐久设计，不具防拆封功能。适合资产标签、序号铭牌，或需要在户外撑上好几年、但不需要证明是否被拆动的场景。
- 哑光银色聚酯贴纸——耐用度与亮面版相同，但採用低反光哑光处理，常用于合规标签、铭牌或条码——在仓库灯光下依然容易扫描。

如何正确规格化一张 VOID 贴纸订单
几个细节，决定了标签到货当天是否真的能达到预期效果：
- 先量封口位置，再定尺寸。选直径前先量好实际要封的螺丝、封口或瓶盖位置——尺寸太小，标签就无法跨过需要断裂的两个表面之间的缝隙。
- 如需追溯，加印流水号。我们可以为整批印上连续序号，让每一张封条都能对应到具体订单或交接日期——对物流与租赁交接尤其有用，因为「哪张封条、哪个日期」往往是关键。
- 自定 VOID 字样或品牌标志。标准款印「VOID」，我们也能改印公司名称或自定警示语，这样第三方也更难找到一模一样的标签来仿造。
- 大量印刷前，先在实际表面测试。VOID 薄膜的表现会因基材而略有差异——塑料外壳、喷漆金属、玻璃都不同——所以我们一律建议先小批量在实际产品上测试,确认效果后再下大单。
- 避免直接受热存放。和大多数胶膜一样，VOID 贴纸在常温下贴附效果最好；贴附当下表面过冷或过热，都可能影响日后图案的断裂效果。
